Free yourself from the trap of complaining

It's really easy to complain. And, let's face it, it can feel really good. It feels better for the problem to be someone else's fault. We feel like we have a bit of control--we've identified the problem and the cause. We have the answer! Now, if only everyone else would get on board.

At the heart of that strategy is a deep resistance to the present moment and a refusal to accept others as they are. That also means we're not accepting ourselves as we are. We're in the situation for a reason. Something drew us to it, or it to us. This isn't about blaming the victim or making yourself wrong. It's about opening up to the possibility that there is something for you to learn.

Growth is messy. Change is hard.

Spiritual growth, in particular, operates like a spiral. It can feel like you're meeting the same issue in multiple cycles, but if you look closely, you can see that it's often at a different elevation. You're a step farther along than you were last time. As the issue comes back in a different form, it just means that there's some more work for you to do.

If you were perfect, you wouldn't be here. We came here to experience ourselves. To recognize Divinity in each other. We came here to remember who we really are.

But, when someone is pushing your buttons, that can feel like a Herculean task.

As Einstein said, you can't solve a problem at the same level of consciousness (thinking) that created it. Put your attention on something else, anything else that feels good. Listen to some music. Go for a walk. Take a nap. Meditate. Re-calibrate your attention closer to your higher nature. Let yourself experience some peace.

Then, when that stress starts to creep back in, acknowledge it, and put your attention right back to something that feels better. As you keep moving yourself to a higher vibration, you'll find that the solution will come to you. You won't have to force it and you won't have to make yourself crazy.

You already have the answer within. Deep down, you already know what is right for you. You just have to get out of your own way and let that Light shine through.

Shine on,

Jenn.
